Every owner knows their numbers. Very few know their market. Not because they don't care. The business takes every hour there is. So we read it for you. One sector at a time. From the public record. In the first one, we found 411 companies across seven Scottish areas. We profiled the 22 that lead it, one by one.
And every claim is marked. Sourced, with the link. A reading, where it's our view. Or a gap, where no source has the answer yet. Here's what it showed. The money is moving. New-build completions in Scotland fell 13% in 2025, while public bodies let programmes worth tens of millions. Two different markets, favouring different businesses.
The suppliers have shrunk. About 4,000 manufacturers in the UK twenty years ago. About 1,100 today. Fewer suppliers, and the terms follow. And winning work is harder. A third of businesses surveyed saw bigger orders, and a similar share said new work is harder to win. Each of those was in the sources long before it showed up in the order book.
Then comes your list. Your ideal client, written down, and applied to every company we found. Ranked, with the reasons, ready for your sales team. A business that knows its market is easier to run. And worth more to a buyer, because there's less risk in it. If you never sell, you still made better decisions.
Start with a 15-minute call. We'll work out which market to read first.
