The idea: treat AI like a new hire
You would not hand a new team member a task without a job description and the data they need to do it. AI is no different. Give it a clear brief and the structured data on how a process actually runs, and it takes on the parts of the week that quietly eat an owner's time. The point is not that AI is clever. It is that most owners are doing work that has to happen but does not need them to do it. That is the work to hand over first.
What landed with the group
The people on the call were not there for the technology. They were there for the time it gives back. Most of them run lean, wear several hats, and carry the business themselves. What landed was not what AI can do, it was what it removes: the hours spent on jobs that keep the business ticking over but do not need the owner in the middle of them. That is the same thread that runs through everything I do. A business that leans on one person for every process is heavier to run today and harder to step back from tomorrow.
